TatFinder

Terms of Service

Last updated: October 14, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply when you use TatFinder at tatfinder.com and in our mobile apps (the "Service"). The Service is run by TatFinder, LLC ("TatFinder," "we," "us"), based in Seattle, Washington. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

TatFinder connects clients with independent tattoo artists. We don't perform tattoos. Each artist is responsible for their own work, their shop, and following health and licensing rules.

1. Who can use TatFinder

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. Tattoo artists must also hold every license and permit required where they work. You may have only one account unless we approve otherwise, and you may not use the Service if we have previously removed you from it.

2. Your account

You sign in through a third-party provider such as Google. Keep that account secure. You're responsible for activity on your TatFinder account, and you should tell us right away at admins@tatfinder.com if you think someone else has used it. Keep your profile information accurate and up to date.

3. What TatFinder is (and isn't)

TatFinder is a platform for discovering artists, requesting and managing bookings, messaging, and paying deposits. Artists are independent businesses, not TatFinder employees or agents. Any agreement for tattoo services is between the client and the artist. We don't supervise or guarantee any artist's work, hygiene, availability, pricing or conduct, or any client's conduct. We may check licenses and other information, but checks have limits, and a verification badge is not an endorsement or a guarantee.

4. For artists

5. For clients

6. Bookings, deposits and payments

7. Your content

You keep ownership of the photos, designs, reviews, messages and other content you post ("Your Content"). You give TatFinder a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, adapt (for example, resize) and distribute Your Content. We use it only to operate, improve and promote the Service, such as showing artist portfolios in search or on social media. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies other users already have, content shared in messages, and backups kept for a limited time. You promise that you have the rights to Your Content and that posting it doesn't violate anyone else's rights or privacy.

8. Reviews

Reviews must reflect your honest, first-hand experience. Don't post fake reviews or reviews written in exchange for something of value, and don't review your own business. Reviews are public. An artist or shop may contest a review, and our support team will then decide whether it stays up, is edited, or is removed under these Terms.

9. Things you may not do

10. AI features

Some features, like Explore search and Smart Match, use AI to suggest artists. Suggestions can be incomplete or wrong. Check an artist's profile, prices and availability yourself before you book.

11. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties such as Google (sign-in, Maps and Calendar), Stripe (payments) and our hosting providers. Their terms apply to your use of their services, and we're not responsible for them.

12. Beta service and changes

TatFinder is in beta. Features may change, pause or be discontinued, and the Service may sometimes be unavailable or contain errors. We may update these Terms. If a change is significant, we'll notify you through the Service or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after a change, you accept the new Terms.

13. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Account → Privacy & data. We may suspend or end your access, or remove content, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or the law, created risk for other users or for us, or if we stop offering the Service. Sections 7 (as stated there) and 14 through 17 continue to apply after termination.

14. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, TatFinder disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. We make no promises about the quality, safety or legality of any artist's services or any user's conduct, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, TatFinder is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. We are also not liable for any injury, infection, allergic reaction, dissatisfaction with a tattoo, or other harm arising from services provided by artists or from interactions between users. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid to TatFinder (not to artists) in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) US $100. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you in full.

16. Indemnity

To the extent the law allows, you agree to defend and indemnify TatFinder against claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content, your services or conduct as an artist or client, or your violation of these Terms or the law.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute with TatFinder that can't be resolved informally will be brought only in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington, and you and TatFinder consent to those courts' jurisdiction. Before filing a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve it.

18. General

These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and TatFinder about the Service. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a provision right away, we haven't waived it. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
