Trust & Safety
Last updated: October 14, 2026
Getting tattooed means trusting a stranger with your skin. Here is what TatFinder™ does today to earn that trust, and what is still on the way.
Artists are checked by a person
Before an artist's shop is shown to clients, a member of our team reviews their tattoo license. A new listing stays hidden until that review is done. If the license details change later, the listing goes back for review.
Reviews come from real bookings
A review can only be left for a booking marked completed, and only once per booking. Artists can ask our support team to look at a review they believe breaks our rules; support makes the call, not the artist.
Report and block
Anyone can report an artist or user from their profile, and block them to stop contact. We review every report. If something is urgent or about your safety, email admins@tatfinder.com and say so in the subject line.
Payments
When deposits are taken through TatFinder™, they are processed by Stripe. We never see your full card number, and the deposit is paid to the artist's own Stripe account rather than held by us.
Your data
- Your messages and booking details are visible only to you, the artist, and staff who need them to handle a support or safety issue.
- You can download your data or delete your account at any time (Account → Privacy & data).
- We don't sell personal information. See our Privacy Policy and Your Privacy Choices.
Our AI only matches
Explore search and Smart Match use AI to suggest artists. It never generates tattoo designs, and it never will.
Coming soon
Optional ID verification and background checks for artists are being built. Until they launch, no artist on TatFinder™ is shown as ID-verified or background-checked.
